The owner, Nikica Kati\u0107, who also owns a construction company, is a construction worker and entrepreneur who fell in love with winemaking and grape growing. Currently, they have 40,000 to 50,000 vines, with an annual production of 40,000 bottles.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>WHERE?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>All Katich wines are made from grapes grown in their own vineyards located in the Dalmatian inland, in the Imotski field, considered the most valuable part of the <em>Imotska Krajina<\/em> through which the river <em>Vrljika<\/em> flows.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>WHY?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The indigenous variety <em>&#8220;kujund\u017eu\u0161a&#8221;<\/em> is a symbol of the <em>Imotska krajina<\/em>, originating from the Imotski field, known for its good and regular yields. <em>Kujund\u017eu\u0161a<\/em> wine is traditionally produced, and still often is, using prolonged maceration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wine made from the indigenous variety of the Imotski region, Kujund\u017eu\u0161a. Lemon-yellow with greenish hues, refreshing in character. Aromas of green apple, citrus, and herbal notes. Pronounced minerality on the palate with a balance between roundness and freshness.
