Inspired by his parents and drawn to the ability of wines to express their terroir, he decided to become a winemaker. After spending several years in southern Burgundy, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric embarked on his own journey in 2013. Inspired by the diversity of granite soils in Lantigni\u00e9, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric materialized his ideas in the heart of the village, on the foundations of Ch\u00e2teau de Vergers.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>WHERE?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>He owns 6 hectares of vineyards located between Beaujolais Villages, Morgon, and Chiroubles, currently undergoing conversion to organic farming. Lantigni\u00e9 &#8216;Granit Rose&#8217; is a blend of different plots situated on granite soil in Lantigni\u00e9, a town in the western part of Beaujolais. The variation in the granite parent rock with a quartz mineral component gives the wines unparalleled elegance and precision.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>WHY?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric&#8217;s Beaujolais villages, but from the specific location of Lantingni\u00e9, are highly valued for their deep color and intense aromas. Gamay grapes from the granite soils of Lantingni\u00e9 are particularly esteemed. The grapes are processed in the traditional Beaujolais style: carbonic maceration and whole clusters (without destemming) ferment with indigenous yeasts.
