WHO?
Château Lassime is a small winemaking estate passed down from father to son by the Lainé family in 1874. Patrick Lainé is the current owner. The vineyard, certified for organic production since 2013, spans 11 hectares. It is located in Entre-deux-Mers, not far from Butte de Launay, the highest point in Gironde.
WHERE?
The Bordeaux Supérieur appellation is part of the Bordeaux region in France, which includes Château Lassime and its 1 cuvée. It comprises 80% red wines, as well as 11% white wines and 9% rosé. This region produces 6 million hectoliters annually (80% red wines + white wines (dry, sweet, and fortified), clairet, and crémant rosés). Lassime’s grapes include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, and Petit Verdot.

Another excellent label from Chateau Lassime. An outstanding Bordeaux Supérieur from the eponymous appellation.
