WHO?
The unquestionable quality of the vineyards, whose fruits are skillfully transformed into exceptionally characterful wines by the hands of Adriano Bambagioni, is evidenced by numerous awards, both domestically and internationally. Adriano honed his talent during ten years of assisting the great winemaker Giacomo Tachisu (the mastermind behind Super Tuscans) at Argiano. The estate has been owned by the Marchetti family, Adriano’s in-laws, since the 1700s, while Adriano’s son Stefano recently joined his father.
WHERE?
The property is located on 4 hectares just south of the town of Montalcino, with only 2.5 hectares designated for Brunello. The vineyards, facing south, are situated at 300 meters above sea level. The first vines were planted in 1984.
WHY?
This Tuscan classic, crafted in a traditional style with authentic expression, is produced in miniature editions, barely 10,000 bottles depending on the vintage. Designed for the long haul, this Brunello will reward patient tasters over time.
