WHO?

The story of Trapan wines began in a small garage next to the family home. Later, the owners acquired land in the southernmost part of Istria, where they established a well-equipped wine cellar. From 2005 until today, the cellar has been upgraded in many ways while maintaining a high quality of products. Inside the winery’s cellar are exclusive facilities for vinification, aging, and bottling. Additionally, there is a tasting room created for the complete enjoyment of visitors to Trapan wines. From 2005 to the present, 12 hectares of organically clean vineyards have been cultivated, and the acquired knowledge and experience are passed down through the cellar, creating fine and elegant wines with a specific character, recognizable with a special Mediterranean touch. Love, energy, and courage are the main drivers of the Trapan winery.

WHERE?

Located in the enchanting wine region of Šišan, the Trapan winery is situated in the beautiful area of Istria, spanning an area of ​​12 hectares of Istrian red soil rich in minerals and infused with limestone. The estate is known for producing 100% organic Croatian wines, aiming to preserve the authenticity and naturalness that the vines offer. Everything about the region is mesmerizing – walking through spacious vineyards and being captivated by streams of grapes with a glass of delicious wine in hand are just some of the many delightful experiences you can have. Among the white varieties, they cultivate Malvasia, while a smaller portion belongs to Chardonnay. In the red varieties, Teran, an indigenous variety with great potential, predominates. Other varieties include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, whose potential is particularly pronounced due to the mineral-rich soil and the proximity to the sea.

WHY?

This rosé, My First Wine (MPV), is the pride of Irene Trapan (Bruno’s wife). Deep pink shades with delicious freshness and energy. There is a subtle tannic bite that only enhances the sense of liveliness, making it an excellent match with rich dishes. This wine is abundant in berry fruit, texture, and interest. The finish is exceptionally long and silky.
