WHO?
Charles Heidsieck is one of the most awarded wines in the world, backed by one of the most renowned winemaking teams in Champagne – chosen 15 times for the prestigious title of ‘Sparkling Winemaker of the Year’. Established in 1851 by a man who introduced champagne to America and became known as ‘Champagne Charlie’.
WHERE?
In the heart of Cotes de Blancs, where only the finest Chardonnay grapes in Champagne come from. Only 5 Cru vineyards are included in the final blend. These are Grand Cru in order: Cramant, Avize, Oger, and Mesnil-sur-Oger, with Vertus as the only 1er Cru vineyard.
WHY?
Simply monumental. The best grapes from a harvest symbolizing enormous potential, all in the hands of a talented team. The ultimate result is a grand champagne that emerges into the light only after aging for a full 10 years in the deep silence of cellars dating back to the 4th century. Gold medals and trophies at almost all major wine competitions certainly prove this.
