WHO?
The production at this estate dates back to 1742. Enologist Frank Bijon produces this fantastic Cru Bourgeois that competes with classified (and incomparably more expensive) Chateaux in Médoc. Sustainability has been a key focus for Larose Perganson since 1999, and they can proudly claim to be the first (and so far only) vineyard in Europe to be awarded the highest title of “Exemplary Level” in sustainable development.
WHERE?
Château Larose Perganson owns 35 hectares of its own vineyards located between Pauillac and Saint-Julien on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Consistent wine quality regularly earns awards from industry experts for a fraction of the price of its cult neighbor (Château Latour).
WHY?
Jancis Robinson recently mentioned this Chateau in the context of producers offering the best value for quality in Bordeaux, a claim we couldn’t agree more with. If we also consider the fact that this estate has a cult neighbor (Château Latour), this achievement is a real opportunity. It is currently in ideal condition for consumption.
