The estate was founded by Alberto Malesani, renowned in Italy as a former manager of famous football clubs, especially Fiorentina and Parma, with the latter winning the UEFA Cup in 1999. His passion and intuition are now channeled into the winery, where winemaker Lorenzo Caramazza provides technical expertise as a consultant. Balance, concentration, and aromatic complexity constitute the Holy Trinity of Malesani’s winemaking philosophy, making La Giuva one of the most prominent rising stars in the region.
WHERE?
La Giuva wines are an expression of the territory around Trezzolano, north of Verona and in the heart of Veneto, characterized by hilly limestone terrain at an altitude of around 350 meters. Breezes blowing through cool the entire area, enabling optimal grape ripening.
WHY?
Valpolicella Superiore possesses a unique freshness perfectly combined with the typical characteristics of the drying process. Expressive on the nose, Il Rientro flaunts spicy tones and a subtle sweet nuance evoking grape maturity. In the mouth, it exhibits exceptional balance and concentration with a striking sensation of licorice in the long finish.
